Crown Court Department and Police Station Representative

Department Crown Court / Police Station Representative

Position Crown Court and Police Station Representative

Location Newcastle

Lewis is a dedicated legal professional specialising in criminal defence within the Crown Court department. With a strong commitment to justice and client advocacy, he brings a well-rounded perspective to complex criminal matters.

Prior to this role, Lewis worked at Children’s Legal Services within a local authority, where he gained valuable experience in public law proceedings. This background has fostered a keen interest in matters where criminal and family law intersect, allowing for a more holistic approach to client representation.

In addition, Lewis served as a Magistrate in Durham, an experience that provided a unique judicial perspective and a deeper understanding of the criminal justice system. This role enhanced his ability to assess cases with balance, fairness, and procedural awareness.

Lewis has successfully completed the Bar Course and is due to be called to the Bar at the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn in July 2026. It is hoped that Lewis will commence pupillage at the firm under the supervision of Mr Smith, where he aims to further develop his advocacy skills and continue building a career in criminal defence.

Combining practical legal expertise with judicial insight, Lewis is well-equipped to navigate the complexities of Crown Court litigation while maintaining a client-focused, direct and empathetic approach.
